Frequently asked questions

Why is Korean sunscreen so popular?

+

Korean sunscreens are known for high protection in lightweight, comfortable textures that don't leave a white cast or a greasy finish. That makes daily use far easier to stick with.

What do SPF and PA+++ mean?

+

SPF measures protection against UVB rays, which cause burning. The PA rating measures UVA protection, which relates to aging and pigmentation — more plus signs means more UVA defense.

What's the difference between chemical and mineral sunscreen?

+

Chemical filters absorb UV and tend to feel lighter with no white cast. Mineral filters using zinc oxide or titanium dioxide sit on the surface and are often preferred by sensitive skin, though they can leave a slight cast.

How much sunscreen should you apply?

+

Around two finger lengths for the face and neck, applied as the last step of your morning routine before makeup. Using less than that means you get less protection than the labeled SPF.

Do you need sunscreen indoors or in winter?

+

UVA passes through cloud and window glass year-round, so daily use is still worth it if you sit near windows or spend time outdoors. Reapply every few hours on days with real sun exposure.

Daily sun protection does more to prevent pigmentation, texture change and fine lines than any other product in a routine. Korean formulas earned their reputation by making that easy: lightweight, non-greasy, and pleasant enough to wear every morning without negotiation.

The range includes chemical filters with an almost invisible finish, mineral formulas for reactive skin, and hybrids that split the difference. Most are SPF50+ with broad-spectrum PA ratings, and several double as a hydrating final step.
